Although we have tested the Surrendring Script a lot, it shows that it causes problems for a minority of users.
Especially in Multiplayer, it can produce a fatal scar error directly at the start.
We are working on this, but if you have trouble with it, you can use this quickfix:
http://www.files.fiffa.net/BotB/BotB_3_SurrenderOff.zipIt completely disables the Surrendering but you should now be able to play without any problem.
unzip the folder BotB into your CoH root folder and overwrite when prompted.
